If you are a woman taking Advanced Placement Computer Science (CSP and/or CSA) and identify as Black, Hispanic/Latina, and/or Native American you are eligible for a free mentoring program run by Dr. Barbara Ericson at the University of Michigan. Sisters Rise Up offers weekly one-hour remote help sessions and monthly two hour special sessions. Students who enroll in the program and send in their score(s) on the AP exams before the end of August receive a $100 gift card. The help sessions are led by experienced undergraduate college students. Students can start the enrollment process by providing information for a parent or guardian at https://tinyurl.com/55z7tyb9.

This course was created by Dr. Beryl Hoffman, Professor of Computer Science at Elms College, MA, to follow the newest College Board AP CSP guidelines with the help of many teachers. Some materials were borrowed and revised from Mobile CSP, CSAwesome, and Dr. Barb Ericson’s AP CSP and Python 4 Everybody courses on Runestone.
