For each one the table gives its equation, a picture of the surface, and the equation and type of the cross-section cut by the planes \(x = c\text{,}\)\(y = c\text{,}\) and \(z = c\text{;}\) a cell also notes any value of \(c\) for which that slice is just a point or a pair of lines. Each trace is worked out in the subsections above, beginning with Section 6.1 and continued in the hyperboloid activity, Activity 6.5.1. A printable copy of the whole table is available as a PDF.
