Preface Preface

These pages aim to design and implement a series of interactive, accessible web-based modules that strengthen students’ conceptual understanding of foundational mathematical ideas through explicit connections to physical phenomena. The project responds to a persistent challenge observed across STEM disciplines at SCU: students often demonstrate procedural competence in Mathematics while lacking the ability to transfer their mathematical knowledge across courses, particularly when mathematical ideas are applied in physical contexts.

Two of the main goals of this project are to:

Enhance students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics through physically motivated examples and problems
Develop accessible instructional materials that support diverse learners, including those using screen readers or tactile graphics
